3. What kind of teams, clubs, and other special groups are there at Whistler Secondary Community School?

We offer a variety of extracurricular activities here at WSS. These activities range from athletic (school sports teams) to the acedemic Book Clubs etc. The activities change each year so stay tuned via school announcements.
 

B) Scheduling and Course Selection

1. What scheduling system does Whistler Secondary Community School run on?

WSS currently operates on a semester system with exams occurring at the end of January and June

2. Where can students go to get guidance? (in either their studies or their personal life)

Our school guidance counsellor is available apon request to talk about course selection or about personal issues. He can also recommend you to other qualified health care professionals if necessary.

4. How does the ski program work? I'm a ski racer/freestyler/snowboarder and I can't attend school all the time. What arrangements can I make for program planning?

Many of our ski/snowboard athletes attend regular class sessions and are given alternate deadlines by classroom teachers depending on their training schedule. Athletes may also take advantage of courses offered on-line through our Adult Learning Centre or Cool Schools.

C) Graduation and Scholarships

1. How can I find out about scholarship opportunities within this school, this province, and this country?

Whistler has a wide array of scholarship opportunities available to its graduates. Scholarship opportunities vary from athletic to academic to artistic. A full account is published every year, early in the new year and is available through the library or counselling area.

D) Adult and Post Secondary Education

1. I'm an adult and I would like to finish my high school credits. Is it possible to complete my education at Whistler Secondary Community School?

3. Where can students get information about post secondary education? (ie. scholarships, university calendars, application forms, etc.)
